To do this, you will need an identification number. Generally, there is no need to nominate a tax representative, unless if you are/or will be soon subject to taxation in Portugal. And in this case, if you do not have address in any EU country or in any member of the European Economic Area.  

You will also need to open a Portuguese bank account to purchase a property. Identity documents and a tax identification number will be required to open the account.

In the case of a bank appraisal, the bank will assess the value of the property, which is usually lower than the market value. With or without distinction, when the purchase price is closed, the process will be accompanied by our company and a lawyer, indicated by us or by another person of your trust.
